Friends of Farming

 San Diego County

What is Friends of Farming?

Friends of Farming is a creation of the grassroots non-profit organization, San Diego County Farm Bureau (SDCFB). SDCFB has been active in San Diego County for 100 years, having held the first meeting at Spreckels Theatre in downtown San Diego in February, 1914. SDCFB is not a government agency. It is a non-profit organization supported by members. Farmers join Farm Bureau because the organization exists to give farmers a voice when communicating with the public, agencies, regulators and legislators, and local, state, and federal government.

Friends of Farming supports the efforts of San Diego County Farm Bureau to protect and represent local farmers, and at the same time give Friends great opportunities to learn about farming in San Diego, get onto farms, and begin to see first-hand the incredible value local agriculture brings to our region.
